Process
The same five steps, every job
In a trade bought under pressure, method is the only thing worth showing. There is no portfolio that helps you at 3 a.m. What helps is knowing what is going to happen in your building, in what order, and what you will be holding at the end.
1. Inspection and preliminary determination
We find the source and follow the water. Moisture meters and thermal imaging show how far it traveled, including behind surfaces that look dry. We establish the category of water and the class of intrusion — the two calls that set the scope of everything after.
2. Extraction and emergency mitigation
Standing water comes out first, with extraction units and pumps. Contents are moved off wet flooring. Where the building envelope is open, we board up or tarp. Emergency mitigation begins on arrival, before any full estimate exists.
3. Structural drying, monitored
Air movers and dehumidifiers are sized to the class of intrusion and set against a written drying goal. We return to take readings, log them by material and by day, and adjust the equipment. Drying ends when the readings say so, not when the schedule does.
4. Cleaning, remediation and deodorization
Cleaning is matched to the category of water. Where contamination is present, we work under containment with negative pressure and HEPA filtration, and porous materials that cannot be cleaned are removed. Odor is addressed at the source before anything is masked.
5. Repairs and reconstruction
Putting back what came out — drywall, trim, flooring, paint. This is a separate line of work from mitigation and drying, scoped and quoted separately. Some companies do it in house and some subcontract it; we tell you which before you sign.
What you receive at each step
Every step above produces a record: the category determination, the extraction and mitigation performed, the daily moisture log, what was removed and why, and the itemized estimate. That record is the same thing your insurer asks for, which is why we build it as we go rather than reconstructing it afterward.
