This page is the setup guide. It is not part of the website you are selling — delete it before you publish, or leave it and keep it out of the navigation and out of the sitemap. Work through the sections in order. Section 2 is the one that matters most.
About the content in this template
This template ships with written content for a fictional restoration company. That content is a starting point for a web build. It is not legal, insurance, regulatory or safety advice, and it is not a compliance review of any business.
Licensing, insurance, certification and advertising rules for restoration work differ by state, and some claims that are common in this industry are unlawful in some states. Before publishing, work through "Claims to verify before you publish" in section 3 with your client, and delete or rewrite anything their business cannot support.
You and your client are responsible for what the published site says.
1. Delete this first
Five things ship with this template that must not survive contact with a live site. Each one is listed with exactly where it lives.
1. The demo notice
Component/DemoNotice, above the footer on every page. It says the company is fictional. Deleting the component removes it from all 26 pages at once.
2. All 8 reviews
CMS collection Testimonials, plus the testimonials row on the home page and the /reviews page. Every quote is an example. Publishing them as real reviews is a false claim about your client's business.
3. All 6 projects
CMS collection Projects and the /projects hub. Every entry is an example and is labeled SAMPLE. Replace with real completed jobs or delete the page and remove it from the navigation.
4. Credentials the company does not hold
CMS collection Credentials, 8 entries, all flagged Owner verify. Certifications belong to people, not companies. Keep only what can be produced on request.
5. This page
/start-here, and /style-guide if you no longer need it. Neither belongs on a live client site.
2. Replace-first checklist
Eleven steps, in order. Doing them out of order costs time — step 2 in particular propagates, so doing it early saves manual edits later.
No total time is stated on this page. A time estimate that has not been measured on a clean remix is a promise nobody can keep, so we do not make one.
— 1. Company name and logo — Nav and Footer components, /about, and the 26 SEO titles. The components are edited once each.
— 2. Phone number — Component/CallBar. Edit the component and everything driven by it updates at once.
— 3. Email, address, hours — Footer component, /contact, /thank-you. The contact details table is the only one outside a component.
— 4. Service areas — CMS Service Areas, 12 entries. Delete the cities you do not serve and rewrite each Intro.
— 5. Services you actually offer — CMS Services (4 entries) plus the featured water damage page. Removing a peril is one row; hub, navigation, footer and cross-links follow.
— 6. Credentials — 8 entries, all flagged Owner verify. Keep only what is true and documented.
— 7. Reviews — delete all eight, then add real ones. Attribution is role plus city by design, never a personal name.
— 8. Images — every image has an alt text written for it. If you swap an image, rewrite its alt.
— 9. Form recipient — select Component/ContactForm, set Send to under Form, and send a test message.
— 10. Legal pages — heading structures only. Replace them with policies written for the company before you publish, and keep them out of search engines until then.
— 11. SEO, domain, publish — per-page titles and descriptions, CMS SEO fields, then connect the domain (requires Framer Pro, see section 4).
Featured service page and Services collection
This template uses two editing paths for services on purpose. Water damage restoration is a hand-built page at /services/water-damage-restoration, because it is the deepest page in the site and the one peril essentially every restoration company handles. The other four perils are CMS entries.
To promote a different peril to featured: duplicate the water page, replace its content from the CMS entry, update the featured card on /services, add the new page to the navigation, and delete the CMS entry it replaced.
To demote water back into the collection: create a new entry in Services using the water page's content, delete the static page, replace the featured card on /services with a normal CMS card, and update the navigation link.
3. Claims to verify before you publish
This template was written for a fictional restoration company. Every statement below is one your client's business must be able to support, or that must be edited or deleted before the site goes live.
This is a checklist of things to check. It is not legal advice and it is not a compliance review. Requirements differ by state, and only you know what your client actually does.
Availability
— "24/7 emergency response" (CallBar, home, /emergency, /contact, footer): publish only if a person genuinely answers at any hour and can dispatch. If the line goes to an answering service overnight, say that instead.
— "Emergency mitigation begins on arrival" (/emergency, /insurance, /process): confirm the crew starts before a full estimate exists.
— Response note on the 12 area pages: state only a response commitment the company can meet, and no arrival time.
Certifications and standards
— IICRC technician certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT): certifications belong to people, not companies. List only what the technicians hold. Never write "we are IICRC certified".
— IICRC Certified Firm status (Credentials card 2): a separate, paid annual company registration. Delete the card unless the status is current. No IICRC logo is included.
— ANSI/IICRC S500, S520, S700: keep only the standards matching work actually performed. Never write "S500 certified" or "S500 compliant".
Licensing and insurance
— State contractor licence number (footer, Credentials): fill in what the state requires, or delete the line.
— Mold, lead and asbestos work are licensed separately in many states. Do not add these services without the licences.
— "We bill your insurance carrier directly": confirm the company actually does.
— Keep "Your deductible remains payable by you". Waiving or rebating a deductible is insurance fraud in several states.
— Keep "We do not file, prepare or manage your claim" and "we do not interpret your policy". Doing these for pay is public adjusting, a licensed profession in many states.
— Never add "approved by", "preferred vendor", a named insurer or a carrier logo. Name Xactimate only if the company holds a licence for it.
Services, coverage and method
— The five perils: delete any the company does not perform. One deleted CMS row removes it everywhere it is referenced.
— "Reconstruction is scoped and quoted separately": confirm whether the company rebuilds in house, subcontracts, or neither.
— The 12 service areas and every Local context paragraph: replace them with the cities actually served, written for those markets.
— Instruments, equipment, HEPA containment and ozone use: keep only what the company owns or rents, and do not soften the ozone safety line.
— Never publish "certified mold-free" or "clearance certificate". "Post-remediation verification" is the correct term.
Demo content, company facts and legal pages
— The 8 reviews and 6 projects are examples. None of these people or jobs exist. Delete or replace them.
— Fielder Restoration, its phone number, email and address are fictional. Replace all of them, then delete the demo notice component.
— No years in business, job counts, ratings or team photos are included. If you add any, they must be accurate and documented.
— The privacy, terms and accessibility pages are headings only. No legal text is provided and no accessibility conformance is claimed.
— Contact form: if the company calls or texts people back, check the federal and state rules on contacting consumers. If submissions go into a CRM or a mailing list, the privacy policy must say so.
— IICRC, ANSI, EPA, Xactimate and Verisk are named descriptively only. No affiliation, endorsement or approval is claimed.
4. Plan, support and licence
Requires Framer Pro to publish on a custom domain. This template uses 7 CMS collections and 26 pages; the Basic plan allows 2 collections.
— Support — vincent.chabran@gmail.com. First reply within 3 business days. Support covers broken links, broken components and questions about how something is built. It does not cover new features or writing content for your client.
— Licence — one licence covers one end product: one client site. A second client site needs a second licence.
— Refunds — if the template does not work as described, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will fix it or refund you in full.
— Updates — this template is maintained while it is listed. A remix you have already made does not update itself.
